General Tao Tofu

Ingredients
- 1 Pack - Firm Tofu
- 2 Cloves - Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp - Minced Ginger
- 2 Tbsp - Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Tbsp - Red Chili Flakes
- 1/4 Cup - Cornstarch
For the Sauce
- 3 Tbsp - Rice Vinegar
- 3 Tbsp - Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp - Hoisin Sauce
- 1/4 Cup - Water
- 3 Tbsp - Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp - Cornstarch
Directions
- Cut tofu into cubes
- Toss tofu into a bowl of cornstarch and coat evenly
- Prepare sauce by combining rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, water, sugar & cornstarch
- Fry the tofu cubes until crispy
- Remove tofu from pan and remove all but 1 Tbsp of oil
- Place ginger, garlic and chili flakes in oil until fragrant
- Add back the tofu to mix then add the sauce
- Stir for ~1 min until sauce is thick
- Serve on top of rice
